I am researching the RAAB family of Buechenberg, Hessen,
Germany; specifically Kilian RAAB, my great grandfather.
He emigrated from Buechenberg, 1852 at the age of 16 this
is a tentative immigration ID. He settled in Allegheny City,
Allegheny County, Pa; it is now part of Pittsburgh. About
1875/76 Kilian moved the family to Fulda, Noble County,
Ohio where he died 04 July 1896.
From what I have been able to locate in Germany, Kilian
had a sister named Anna Maria born either before or after
1836, the year Kilian was born.
The only other spelling variation that I have seen for my
RAAB family was ROOB. Do you have any other
data that would help pin point where your RABB family
emigrated from? What about the surname spelling as RAAB?
