I'm jumping in here, hoping that maybe someone has a lead to my "mystery"
Reed. My 4th (or 5th) gg grandfather, Jonathan Millet of Voluntown, CT, had
a daughter Nancy who married a Reed. Nancy was born about 1775, the only
clue I have to her husband's identity is a mention of "my daughter, Nancy
Reed" in her father Jonathan's will dated Ontario Co. NY in 1798. Nancy &
her husband could have married in CT, or in Ontario Co NY after the Millet's
migrated there prior to 1800. Does anyone have a Reed in this time frame
with a wife named Nancy Millet?

There was also a record (1791) for Seth Reed & his wife Hannah.

I have run into land records in early Ontario Co NY for John Reed, but no
proof this is Nancy's wife.
