Every so often as this time, I run upon the name Lockhart and it sparks
my interest everytime, but can't seem to go anywhere with it. See the
following:
Mormom Records at Endowment House, Salt Lake City
Baptisms for Dead
Film 183,383, Bk B, pg 76, 27 July 1870
Relative Name Place Born Date Entered Informant/Member Relationship
(of member)
Nancy Howell Ray VA 27 Jul 1870 Dicy Ray Perkins daughter
Polley Bolon Ray same same grandaughter
Patta Berry Howell same same grandaughter
Ritter Hudson Ray VA same same niece
Ruth Lockhart same same friend
Nancy Ray Cooper same same niece
Moses Ray same Wm G. Perkins nephew-in-law
Washington Cooper same same nephew in-law
Ezekiel Hudson same same same
Benjamin Lockhart same same same
Dicy Ray Perkins was the wife of William G. Perkins and the daughter of
Aaron Ray/Rhea and Nancy Howell. Aaron Ray/Rhea/Rea/Rae was the son of
John Ray and Polly Bolon. William G. Perkins was the son of Ute Perkins
and Sarah Gantt. William G. Perkins had a brother who married Lucy Rhea
who was the likely sister of Aaron Rhea/Ray.
Nowhere in any of these lines have I been able to locate a Lockhart
relative but there must have been some kind of a close connection for
William G. and Dicy (Ray) Perkins to include them in their records for
the baptism of the dead.
Any ideas?
