This may be a little off topic but I would like to mention my grandmother
who was descendant of the Harris/Daily families of Smithfield, RI. Her name
was Laura Delia Victoria (Smith) Holmberg. She left this world Sunday
morning at 2:00am. It was her inspiration that led me on my quest for the
numerous branches of my family tree. She was a storyteller extraordinair who
put her stories of growing up in the mountains of Vermont onto paper and
when they were printed out for the family 12 years ago, equaled 160 pages.
Because of her I developed a love for Vermont. Please allow me to salute my
Gram who was born on January 16, 1899. She was truly a great lady who left
this life the way she lived it, Quietly with peace and dignity
