I am looking for informatio about my gg grandparents. John Chriswell
Robinson and Sarah Salome Schaffer ( not sure of the spelling of Schaffer).
Sarah was a widow of a man named ??Foltz and had a son Isiah when she
married my gg grandfather John. It is estimated that they were both born
abt. 1830 and married abt. 1853. They had several children: John b abt
1855, Emanuel b abt 1857, David b abt. 1859, Peaches b abt. 1861, a
daughter called Sis also b abt. 1861 (but could be same daughter as
Peaches), Hannah b abt 1863, Sarah b abt. 1865, Mary b abt 1867, my g
grandmother Lillie May b July 9, 1871 in Claylick, Pa. near Haggarstwon,
Md., married William Henry Hodges Oct. 21, 1900, died Dec. 22 , 1952 in
Leon, Iowa, and Harvey b abt 1873. It is told that Sarah's fathers name was
George Schaffer. It is also told that John Chriswell Robinson's parents
were John Chriswell Robinson ( came over from Ireland) and Hannah
Temperance Blair. Any information about this family would be greatly
appreciated.
