After seeing the posting by Sherril Arms I would like to also make my
plea for any help about Robinsons in Canada. In just the last few months
I was able to discover that my grgrgreatgrandfather Elijah Robinson was
born in either Illinois or Canada and that his parents were from Canada.
Elijah's wife was Fanny Scherrer and in the three census records I
researched from Independence, California, where they settled at some
point, she lists her place of birth as Maine, Nova Scotia, or New
Brunswick, so I am presuming that Elijah was from that part of Canada
also. He had three children that I know of born in Independence,
California of which Arthur Elijah was my great grandfather born in 1879.
His two sisters were Stella and Luella born in the mid 1800's. Any help
would be appreciated, Vicki Genz
