My Sargent's came from Vermont and New Hampshire. I don't have a Polly
Sargent on my list, but I do have a Polly Roach who married James Sargent
(which would make her married name Polly Sargent). She was born in 1750,
but
I don't have a date of death for her. Her husband James was born in 1764 in
Goffstown, NH and died in 1821 in Bradford, NH. James & Polly had 10
children - James, Nancy, Mary, Hannah, Sarah, Lydia, Trueworthy, Eliza,
Bathsheba, and Daniel. James was also married a second time to Susan Cheney
in 1818 and had 6 children with her - Belinda, Albert, Harrison, Roxanna,
Rosanna, and Judith. Maybe your Polly is one of the children of their
children. (It would make sense that one of James & Polly's sons would name
a
daughter named after his mother, and the date would be around the same date
that you have for Polly Sargent). My line descends from James & Polly's son
James who married Naomi Harrington and settled in Danby, Vermont. James and
Naomi's son Andrew married Ruth Edmunds who is descended from Increase Rudd.

I know this may not be of much help to you, but perhaps it will give you an
avenue to check out.
