Just a thought...
When my husband and I were first married (he is the Rudd descendant) he
built a beautiful bed for us. He painted our names on the foot board with
the date of our marriage...it has always been special to me but recently it
took on another meaning.

I read about Bill's ancestor, Jonathan Rudd and saw a picture of the hope
chest he made for his wife Mary. Their initials are placed on the chest.
Apparently furniture building is in their blood. Our family has a cabinet,
built by Cyrus Levi Rudd for his granddaughter in the 1920's, a wonderful
arts and crafts table made by Cyrus' son Medford and a set of twin beds,
also made by Medford.

These are the little treasures genealogy presents to us!

Proud to have given birth to a Rudd descendant!
