Harry and Lydia (Morrison) Rudd are on my husband's line.
Harry is the son of Marverick (sometimes spelled Maverick) Rudd.
Harry and wife Lydia, along with Harry's sister Mary (Rudd) and husband
Henry Jones came out to Oregon on the same wagontrain.
(This is the Henry and Mary mentioned in the book.) It does not say
if their parents, Marverick and Mariah came with them, but
I do know they settled in Oregon around the same time.

Harry and Lydia settled in Linn County. Henry and Mary (my husband's
great-great grandparents) moved south and homesteaded land
(next to Marverick) in Myrtle Creek, Douglas County.

Mary had one son and died at a young age. She and her father
are buried in the old Pioneer cemetery in Myrtle Creek. The mother
(Mariah) is buried in Linn County next to Harry and Lydia.
