This is my first post to list and I have almost nothing on my Rudd line.
According to Soc. Sec. form of William Edward Rudd, my grandfather, his
parents are listed as Elia Rudd and Frances Bray of Wake Co. NC.
1880 Wake Co. NC census, Bartons Creek Twshp, lists Francis Rudd 35,
Eddie 9, Robert 4. Eddie is my William Edward and it seems that Elia
had already died. At one time they may have been in the Burlington,
Alamance Co. area of NC. William first m Susan Barnes, date unknown, he
m my grandmother Lillian Foster in 1926-1928. children of William &
Susan Barnes were Lillie (Hare), Willie, and Mamie (Brame). Susan Barnes
was from Wilson Co. NC. William and Lillian had no children but my
father James Johnson assumed the Rudd name when Lillian and William were
married. Anything at all on Elia and Frances Bray Rudd would be
appreciated.
