Hi Sue,

I checked my database and also "Rudd Branches", but don't find your
Nancy. I very much suspect, however, that your Nancy is a descendant
of Lt. Jonathan Rudd. I'm curious about the Hills connection and
wondering if your Jesse Hills may be related to Chloe Hills who
married John Rudd, gr-grandson of Lt. Jonathan. He was born in CT,
29 Dec 1748; she was born 1757/58 in Wales. They were married 13 Aug
1778 in Bennington, VT. Following the Rev. War, they moved to
Cooperstown, Otsego, NY. About 1819 they are found in Cleveland, OH.
John died 1830-40 in Springfield, Erie Co, PA. Chloe died 14 Aug
1836 in Independence, Cuyahoga Co, OH.

Hills doesn't seem to be a very common name, so thought there might
be a connection.

Anyway, for what it's worth as they say.

All the best
Celia (Illinois)
