James Maynard married Elizabeth Seldon Crouch in Bodiam, SSX in 1853.
Her father is listed in the Ancestral File...I know, I know...as Siyver
Seldon, leading me to think she'd been married before. When James died in
the American civil war, she abandoned her quest for a widow's pension and
remarried, according to her neighbors..

Siyver is a surname I've been researching so I wonder if possibly this family
is connected to the Seldon/Crouch family?
