I have been searching the IGI for new leads for my Jesse
Haslett/Asslet's place of birth. I found no listings for
any Haslett/Aslet in Petworth prior to his Petworth marriage
in 1770. By searching christening records using the batch
numbers and only the first name, I found the following.


Jesse INIONHASLET
chr 04 Jun 1748 in Sutton to Jasper and Sarah.


Jesse had seven male siblings christened in Sutton, but I
find no other references anywhere to that surname. If the
name is hyphenated, would Inion be the father or mother's
surname? Just following a hunch.
