The Metropolitan Police Museum have been very helpful in finding details
about one of my ancestors.
You can contact them at:
using the subject heading "Historical museum enquiry". You must include your
postal address for them to reply to you.
They hold different records to those at the PRO so it is worth pursuing both
lines of enquiry.
