Dear Listers - this may be a stupid question, if so, please be kind to me.

Have recently been looking at the indexes to wills on the PRO site, both by
name and village. Have not downloaded images as it will be much cheaper
for me to get the films from the FHC. This will also give me a heap of
other wills and I know that relatives are often referred to in the wills of
other village people, as beneficiaries or executors.

However, when I was at the WSRO 2 years ago, I obtained copies of about a
dozen (pre 1858) wills. BUT of all those wills only two are listed in the
PRO site. Can anyone explain to me why this is? It is not that I just
didn't find them - they are not there, certainly not by inputting SURNAME,
Sussex, or VILLAGE, Sussex.
