Please help, I am trying to ascertain any connection between these Sussex
NORTON family groups (if any).
My line of the Nortons came from the Hurstpierpoint - Lewes area.
According to LDS records there seem to be many norton families, around the
following areas;
Brighton - Worthing area,
Chichester- Westhampnett area,
Hastings - Rye area,
and the many smaller towns in between.
Does anyone know of any links between these families?
Does anyone know of any other norton family researchers?
To me, the relatively small distances (say 1 - 3 days horsedrawn travel
time) means that it is likely that there is some connections. (this is from
an Australian perspective of distances!)
>From where I live (approx 20kms north of Adelaide in SA) I have relatives
stretching from the Indian ocean to the Pacific ocean in most states of
Australia.
Would greatly appreciate any help
regards
Pat Norton
