Can anyone in NZ help with details of ROBERT SWAN who I believe died in Christchurch around 1888 ? I have details of the family he left behind in Lanarkshire 1n 1880 and I also believe he was paralysed in a riding accident after arriving in NZ. He may have gone there with a brother who may have started a branch of the family in NZ. The Swans were aristocratic landowners in Lanarkshire and it may be that a Baronetcy eventually passed to the NZ branch of the family. Does this look familiar to anyone ? Any info very much appreciated. George in Aberdeen, Scotland.
