Melissa, I think I like you.
I don't have much to say as I have only been genealogy for three years, but
love every second of it.
My main lines are Jenkins, Lusk, Bonds, Chandler, Reaves, Monk, Reidinger,
Stroud, Freeman, Griffith, Maddox, Elrod, and of course, Smith.
Almost all of them migrated from the Carolinas to GA to AL. Then some went
on to Arkansas and Texas. The Reidinger's however, came from PA to VA to TN
to AL, then some on to Arkansas.
On a personal note, I live in Weaver, Calhoun Co., AL and finding out more
and more each day that I am kin to most of the town. Yes, it is a small town
of about 2500. I have two boys of my own and two stepsons. The stepsons
don't live with us.
I am a volunteer for the Boy Scouts and next year will be involved with the
high school band as my oldest son will be in the marching band.
If you need something about Calhoun Co., AL I am just a few minutes from the
best genealogy library in this part of the state (in my opinion).
