Hi

One of my ancestors appeared in MS about 1830 from England. Family
tradition says he jumped ship. We know he had worked on ships in England
so this appears probable for him. There was lots of shipping from
southern ports to England during that time frame. At least possible this
was the case with yours. It makes it very difficult because there is no
record of him on a passenger ship.
