>My question is one of linkage. I've a step ggggg grandmother named
Pembroke Hunter Cartwright whose two sons each named a daughter, Pembroke,
after their mother. One of those daughters married my step ggg
grandfather, Thomas Watkins. Nothing as yet says which fathers daughter
became a Watkins. Wills are no good since each father died before their
daughters were of age and Pembroke Cartwright only referred to one of these
grand daughters by first name. All I know is that there's a relationship
there somewhere.
The question is, how do I best link everyone up in a way that will make
sense to others? Someone suggested I just assume one and let it go. That
implies a degree of confidence I can't subscribe to.<
I would link both possible fathers as Parent-Candidates . . . and write in
the memo field your explanation, and give them both a surety of 0. One can
be designated as primary, but be sure to write the explanation about why
you are unsure, and why this one was designated primary.
