Hi Michel,
I have the exact same problem, although not with as many different
languages. I do enter all those memos in the original language
(Dutch). I am trying to develop a macro (in Word), that will translate
most of the relatively common words, after I generate a report, but it
still needs lots of editing. I do feel however, that it is important to
retain the original formulation, if only because of language-historic
interest.

For the place names, I would change the sentence structure read
something like: In 1792 the address was recorded as ...., or the French
name for this address was... rather than the As of 1792....
