Subject: TMG-L: Q: Common-law Marriages

Hi Group. I am sure you must have had this discussion before I joined
the group. Sorry to bring it up again. What I was wondering is, do you
have any suggestions for handling a common-law marriage? Did you build
a new tag for this? If so, could you share what you used for the
following:
- a gedcom tag for exports
- "past tense" wording
- the sentence
What I am considering to include as a common-law marriage is:
- two people who lived together, had no children, but where it was
serious enough that
I consider them as part of the family, or
- two people who lived together and did have children
Or have I missed something already there in the existing tags?
Thanks,
Deb Mallett (TMG V4.0)
