Am I reading incorrectly, or is there a way of saving recent entries,
corrections, etc. <<

The result of hitting F10 depends on where you are. If you're merely
looking at the Person View, it will do exactly what you describe. If you
have finished the source information for a tag, it returns you to the tag
entry screen. If you're on that screen, it returns you to the view
(normally Person) from which you created/edited the tag.

Try it in various places and you'll find that it is an alternative to
clicking OK.
