While I never had that many names in a single dataset then running TMG
v1.2a, I had one with well over 20,000 names. Optimize seldom ran for
very long -- something around a minute (more or less) is my best
recollection (using a 33MHz 386 with 8MB RAM). Sounds like you have hit a
snag somewhere. You might contact Tech Support and see what suggestions
they might have.
