You are only partly right. Remember that for each long filename or long
directory/folder name, there is automatically created a shorter filename
that will fit the 8.3 naming convention. Rather than keying in the name
in the Directory field, click on the Directory button and browse around
until you find the directory desired. Places the cursor over it and click
on the Select button. In the case of the "My Documents" directory/folder,
the shorter filer name is probably "mydocu~1" (at least that is what is is
on my system). Of course, if you know what the shorter filename is, then
you may key it in directly.
