There may only be one Primary tag of any kind for a person. If there are
two Principals, then a person may have multiple Primary tags but only on
Primary for both persons. For example, if Joe Smith had three marriages:
(1) to Mary Doe, (2) to Jane Jones, and then (3) remarried Mary Doe. Of
the three Marriage tags for these events, only two may be Primary -- the
one to Jane Jones and one (first or you choose) of the Mary Doe marriages.
The reason for the Primary tags is to allow TMG to print charts and reports
(i.e., Pedigrees) that only allow certain data. Other reports don't really
matter, so you rea attaching more importance to Primary tags than was intended.
Personally, I would use the Note tag rather than the Residence tag. But if
you have a number of deeds to enter, I would create a couple of custom tags
-- something like: Land-Buy and Land-Sell. Then you may adjust the Tag
Sentence Structures as you think best.
Hope this helps -
