First, I tried to reply from memory and recalled that the author of the
GedCom appears as a source; it actually appears as the author as Lee
stated.

However, I am perplexed by your note. I tried again to import two GedComs,
and got a source #1 which refers to the author by ID number, and a source
#2 which refers to the author by name. In both cases there is an Author
field with the name and the ID# in parentheses. I don't know how to
reconcile that with what you see in your file.
