A Candidate tag as has been discussed would be a Custom tag in the
Relationship group. The relationship group includes the Mother-xxx,
Father-xxx, Son-xxx, Daughter-xxx, and Child-xxx tags. To add the tag, in
the Person View click on the plus (+) icon to display the Tag Type List.
Click on the New button to display the Tag Type Definition screen. In the
Label field replace "New Tag" with "Can" (no quotes) and click on the
Relationship Tag Group option and click on the OK button. This creates the
tag. You may now use it just like any other Relationship Grouop Tag.
If you have already attached a person using a Relationship tag, then just
edit that tag. In the Tag Entry for that tag, click on the Event Type
button, select the "Can" type, and click on the OK button to change the tag
to the Candidate tag.
All this takes longer to write and read than it does to create the tag and
make the change.
Hope this helps -
