You could do the same thing in MS Word 95,97 or 2000 using the Edit.Replace
feature.

In the what to search for enter ^0013^0013^0010
and in the replace with box enter^p

Those 0 are zeros and the ^ is the shift six key.

Test it first on a copy of the file.

Tony,

Having been a prior user of Family Reunion, ugh, I experienced the problem
you describe and was unable to find any way around it. Contact with the
author of the program produced no satisfaction either. My solution was to
use an old DOS text editor, (SLED) if anyone remembers, which could be set
up to extract the <CR's> by simply resaving the file (presence of the <LF>
is enough to satisfy TMG for the import). This was the manner in which I
moved all of our files into TMG. I might add that Brother's Keeper couldn't
read these Gedcom files either however Family Reunion had no problem
reimporting them.
