Thanks to Lee and Gary, I think I basically understand the ramifications of
changing computers. As I understand it, if I copy over all my files, the repeat
key should again work, although only on that database on which it was previously
operating. Question: What file contains the "memory" for the repeat key, F3? If
I knew, perhaps I would need only to copy that file...or are there others I
should copy?

I still think that a description of how the program works in easy-to-understand
descriptions would be very useful in enabling one to perform changes such as
setting up a new computer. I checked out my files associated with my database
and they have five basic extensions - CDX, DBF, FPT, MEM & TMG. All my TMG
databases have files with those extensions. I suppose they are created upon
loading the database in TMG. This is why they do not need to be copied over to
the new computer, although I guess there is no harm in doing so. I would love to
find a reference describing the generation of these files and their functions.
