Subject: TMG-L: Clooz again
Date: Fri, 1 Oct 1999 17:34:58 EDT
Some time ago there was a discussion re Clooz & TMG. I've debated back
& forth, especially now since I've been given access to many old family pix.
I'd like some way to keep track of them. Has anyone who uses Clooz found it
helpful for pix?
I'm also ashamed to admit that I'm having trouble locating the copies of
documents I've xeroxed and entered into TMG. (They're in folders, but which
ones??) I don't want to enter info into TMG and then again into Clooz, but
I'd like some system of being able to locate the documents when I want them.
Can anyone who has used Clooz tell me:
1) will Clooz retain my same ID numbers even if I have gaps in my
numbers?
2) is it possible to enter just the name of a document (for example, a
copied census, a VR, or an old pix), and easily note the names of those
listed in the census, VR, or old pix. When I am at the library, can I then
use Clooz to see if I have already copied that census or VR?
I use TMG for all my genealogy and sources, but I'm wondering if Clooz
can help me to file my copies of document/pix in an easily retrievable file.
Thanks for any help/suggestions anyone can give me on this.
