Mike,
I think I can answer your first question. Maybe once that's working the other
will take care of itself.
TMG doesn't really understand Windows long filenames, so it can't deal with
the folder "My Documents". Try backing up to a folder whose path meets the old
DOS filename requirements - briefly, each folder in the path should have a name
consisting of no more than 8 letters, no punctuation, no spaces.
While you're setting this up, consider that putting your backup on the same
drive as your data leaves you vulnerable to failure of that drive. It's really a
better idea to backup to a floppy, Zip drive, CD-R, a different hard drive (if
you have more than one), or a different computer (if you're on a network.) I have
the impression that if your backup won't fit on one floppy, TMG is able to
continue on another, but I don't have experience with this.
