Jane,

I basically do the same as Lee but I put the possibly/probable in the memo.
This way I can see it in the person view. Also if I print a Group Sheet (not
narrative) I can tell that this is not a proven marriage. I change the
sentence to read something like: "[P] <[M]> married [PO] <[PARO]> <[D]>
<[L]>" and the memo would read "probably". I sometimes add a not in { } to
clarify the info for myself and when printing a narrative I don't print
sensitive items.

< The only way to enter marriages of any certainty is as you have done.
However, you may show the surety value of the citation(s) for that marriage
as low values (ones or zeros). You might want to note something in the
Memo field of the tag and/or in the Tag Sentence. For example the normal
Marriage Tag Sentence is :
"[P] married [PO] <[PARO]> <[D]> <[L]> <[M]>"
which you may want to change to something like:
"[P] may have married [PO] <[PARO]> <[D]> <[L]> <[M]>"
or
"Evidence seems to indicate that [P] married [PO] <[PARO]> <[D]> <[L]>
<[M]>".

Also you could make the "Evidence seems to indicate that" entry in the Memo
field so that you could just change that as necessary later so that the
sentence would be like this:
"<[M]> [P] married [PO] <[PARO]> <[D]> <[L]>".
This way you would only modify the Memo later and not the sentence although
either eway would work the same. insofar as TMG is concerned. But remember
that a GEDCOM export will not show sentence changes unless they are in the
Memo field.>>
