Category gives you two different sets of Templates/Patterns, then there is
a problem unless someone has changed the Templates in the System
Configuration Screen or the Patterns of one of the Source Definition
Screens. The default Templates are the ones given on my website and marked
as FF, SF, and B. These have been the only Templates available since they
were first available and have not been changed or revised. Compare yours
with my website and if they aren't the same, they should be. The only way
they could change is for someone to change them, and there may be good
reason for changing some depending on your needs.

I hadn't gotten so fancy as to change any default templates in the System
Configuration Screen. I know that (while still on Lackey) I had changed a
very few of the outputs for individual sources (the footnote, short
footnote, bib), but I don't think I had done anything to the input fields
before converting to Custom. I haven't really compared the output patterns,
but I know that when I was going through my Newspaper sources to put all
their pieces in the right slots, I definitely had some that had no place to
put the article title while the majority did. I'm talking about when you
first open up a source to edit (or create) and are on that far-left tab
where you type in the data. Nobody had had a chance to alter them when I
discovered the discrepancy between one Newspaper source and another. I'm
the only one who uses the program and while I know I talk in my sleep, I
don't think I get out of bed and turn on the computer as well. (Am I clear
enough without having TMG open to look at as I write??? I had hoped I
wasn't the only one with this problem, bizarre though it is.)
