Thank you Lee. I will try this out tonight when I'm back home and let
you know of my success.

Sorry about the parentheses/quotes. Guess the goblins were at work
when I wrote that.

I assume you mean _quotes_ rather than parentheses. <g>

Probably the easiest way to find this is to review the database that
contains the Source Elements. First make sure that you have a good
backup
of your dataset. What I am about to suggest can (with a few seemingly
minor keystrokes make your dataset unuseable).

Now select the Tools=>Advanced Utilities=>Browse a DBF File menu
option.
Answer Yes to the Warning. In the Open window, select the drive and
directory in which your dataset is located. Then highlight the file
on the
left (scroll down near the bottom) that ends in U.DBF (i.e., the
filename
is something like xxxxxxxU.DBF where your dataset name is in the first
part
of the series of x's). Click on the Select button. The contents of
that
file will be displayed. Scroll to the bottom of this screen and
review the
Element field of the last few lines (anything beyond "101 [VOLUME]"
will be
the custom Elements). You should find it there.

At this point I would caution you to exit the Browse feature, click on
File=>Exit on the menu (or press the ESCape key). Any changes made to
the
Browse screen can corrupt your dataset. Now you may go to the Master
Source list (MSL) to properly delete the Element or modify it as
desired.
When you are in the MSL, you need to be in the edit mode for a Source
(select to enter a new Source and choose a Source Category). Click on
one
of the buttons in the lower part of the screen. Find the desired
Source
Element and modify or delete it as needed.

You may want to review the various Source Categories and/or Sources
in
which you have used this Source Element to make sure the Templates and
the
Patterns are correct.

Hope this helps -
