While I thoroughly understand, Elizabeth, your wishes to stay out of the
specifically TMG nitty gritty as well as all the distinctions you outlined,
I'm with Scot in terms of our trying to agree to some sort of
standardization, at least among ourselves, so...

In TMG, why can't we go with Lee's suggestion, except putting the title in
quotation marks to highlight that it's unpublished, as Elizabeth suggested?

This would change to:
Edward Clay O'Rear, "O'Rear Family Groupsheets" (Unpublished Manuscript dated
1978). Lee Hoffman, Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, Lee Orear family sheet.
Hereinafter cited as "O'Rear FGS."

I'm guessing it's OK to eliminate the author's address (as Lee did), since
he's deceased. I'm also guessing that Lee is using his own name and address
instead of the "copy held by this writer" that Elizabeth uses in some places
because you may give someone else part of your TMG dataset?

One last question: I know how to edit the footnote and biblio output of Book
(Authored) to do the above, but I can't for the life of me find how to edit
the template to create a new template for this. I'm sure I'm missing
something simple?
