Okay, I'm beginning to get the hang of this. I figured out the < > coding
so I can surpress the printing of unknown author, n.pub., etc. on my
imported BK sources (especially helpful on the ones that are original
records like marriage certs, census etc. until I can learn and switch to
the more appropriate templates). (I guess TMG is gonna force me to do what
I've been intending to do for a long time, which is buy Mrs. Mills' book).
But, I'm baffled by endnote number 4 in the following example. What is the
"hereinafter cited as" line doing there when that source is not cited again
in the report? Is there a way to get this to print only when there is a
second reference to the same source in the same report? Also, in BK, there
is an option "endnotes with no duplicates" so that a second, third, etc.
note is printed only if the citation detail (e.g. page number) is
different. In other words, if the following were printing out from BK,
there would only be 4 endnotes in the following example: those numbered 5
and 6 below would all be 1. Am I understanding correctly that there is no
such option in TMG?
Endnotes:
1. Maxine Taraba etal, Harrison County, Missouri Cemetery Records (Bethany,
Missouri: Harrison County Genealogical Society, 1985), p. 76. Hereinafter
cited as Harrison Co., MO Cemetery Records.
2. Gallatin Co., Illinois Marriage Certificates, 1829-1836, FHL Microfilm
969,485.
3. 1850 Census, Mahaska Co., Iowa (No Twp Listed), FHL Microfilm 442,962,
p. 199, Dwelling 609, Family 625.
4. 1880 Census, Harrison Co., Missouri (Marion Twp), FHL Microfilm
1,254,689, p. 70B, Dwelling 144, Family 160. Hereinafter cited as 1880
Census, Marion Twp, Harrison Co. MO.
5. Taraba etal, Harrison Co., MO Cemetery Records, p. 76.
6. Ibid.
