Yes. However, you will want to edit each of your Sources to ensure that
all the data is in its proper place as well as adding data to some of the
Source Definitions that were not specifically required by Lackey. In many
cases, during this process, you may already have that information, but in a
different form or location/field/Source Element. In other cases, you may
need to go back to the source to obtain the specific information.
To change from Lackey to Mills, enter the System Configuration Screen
(General tab) by selecting Tools=>Options from the top menu. Then select
the Mills Option and click on the OK button to save the change.
If you prefer (my recommendation) to use the Custom option based on the
Mills option, then (in the System Configuration Screen (General tab))
choose the Custom option, and click on the Configure button. If the Custom
Source Categories screen displays with the Mills categories shown (and you
don't wish to add or modify any categories at this time), click on the
Cancel button to return to the System Configuration Screen where you will
click on the OK button to save the change.
If the Custom Sourcve Categories screen does display the Lackey categories,
then click on the Initialize button, choose the Mills option, and click on
the OK button to initialize the dataset to the Mills categories. After the
initialization is complete, you may add/modify any categories or click on
the OK button to return to the System Configuration Screen where you will
click on the OK button to return to the main program.
I suggest that you choose the Custom option because it allows you to add
your own categories or modify any of the standard categories as you feel
best. There are many more categories covered in Mills than in Lackey, but
there are many sources that still don't quite fit the mold of a Mills
categories. In that case, you may add your own custom category as desired
while still maintaining the same style as given in the selected style
manual (Mills or Lackey).
Following the above, you will want to review each of your Sources to
optimize them. Some of the Source Elements will not be required and new
ones will be. Some Patterns shown in the Output Forms tab may require
minor modifications. You may want to select different Source Categories
for many of your Sources while a few will be fine. The whole process will
be quite a bit of work, but it will be well worth your effort.
Hope this helps -
