Thanks, Miriam, for asking that question about the location on the keyboard of
the two vertical lines for use in memo fields.

And to Hugh, Ian and Arlene (hope I haven't omitted anyone) for the answers.

To think it was so simple!

Here is my humble confession.

I've been using computers (essentially as word processors) for years and years
and never knew this!!

And, yes, on my Oz keyboard the slash symbol (and the two funny vertical hyphens
that I'd never used .....) is on the right, above the 'Enter' key and to the left
of the "Back Space' key.

As a relatively new TMG user (about 3 months), I, like Miriam, wondered how on
earth to produce the double lines to delimit sections of memos.

Did it occur to me to ask the List? Of course not.

I read the Manual from cover to cover - no joy! Presumably it didn't even occur
to the writers that something like this might need to be spelled out!

*Finally* (after trying everything I could think of - except, of course, the one
symbol on the standard keyboard that I had never used!), I found in the Manual,
a section under Memos called Character Map - accessible from the Tools menu when
in the memo data entry field. I went there and found a single vertical line
which I could copy (twice) and then paste the resulting double vertical lines in
the memo.

This was more than a tad painful to do each time. :-(

Again I struggled through the Manual and found "Text Macros" - and saved my two
double lines (as F9 as it happens).

And now I find that all I had to do was Shift-Slash!

My New Year's resolution? ASK!!!
