Lee:
Well, the saga continues.
Having accomplished the conversion to TMG4, and
turned off the customized flags, created the
desired subset of data to merge into my main TMG
file, I NOW have a "Tag Group conflict between
data sets on Tag Type . . . . merge not possible"
Does this mean I must go through all of my
customized tags and add them to my subset in order
to merge it? That seems a very lengthy process for
those of us foolish enough to have created a
number of customized tags. Moreover, will I then
have a problem with cusomized sources, etc?
Thanks for your continued patience
Byron
P.S. it DOES seem better to convert FTM& to FTM6
and then import to TMG4 rather than the GEDCOM
route (although be prepared to wait -- the
process from FTM6 to TMG4 on a Pentium 200 with 64
RAM took 4 hours and 55 minutes! -- of course, the
file had 50264 names, 57768 events, 69183
relationships etc for a total of 30,724 kb).
