Judy,

You might want to make sure that the vertical line you found and have be using in
your macro is indeed the same character as your shift-slash "|" character. It is
possible that you have found a character which might look the same but has a
different numerical value. To be safe, I would only use the character on the
keyboard. You could test what you already have done by running an appropriate report
to see if you get the memo elements in the desired positions.
