Thanks for posting (both privately and to the list). I think that the
majority of genealogists/family historians are interested in ways of
presenting our findings that will be attractive as well as properly
sourced. Most of us, too, have a mixture of text and visuals that we'd like
to share, and that's not much addressed either by genealogy
programs/classes or by books on self-publishing. One of my relatives, for
example, has an enormous collection of photos and clippings. She also has
handwritten family group sheets, but I'd like to work with her to scan the
original stuff so we can share it with the whole family (after all, a
scanned photo can be reproduced at home and is more cost-effective than one
that's reprinted or color-photocopied). I guess I am just always on the
lookout for ideas for producing attractive family histories that are
engaging both to read and to look at.
Bob, which desktop publishing program do you use, or is it all using a word
processor? Do you print TIF files or a different format?

Questions are welcome.
