Allen County Public Library in Fort Wayne, Indiana will also take a
book/manuscript and copy it for their genealogy library. They return a bound
book copy to you also. It sometimes takes 6 plus months for the binding but
well worth it as Allen County is supposed to be the biggest Public genealogy
repository. Library of Congress is also a consideration. Town libraries,
County libraries, and State libraries all would be good places to give a
copy of a book/manuscript or even a few pages of pedigree.
One of my starting points was a pedigree in a file in a county library. Even
without sources it was a big help with some locations and dates. It seems to
me that the more places a copy is placed the better the chance someone will
have the information in the future.
