I keep a master inventory of all documents, certificates, etc., as well as
master lists of all articles I have photocopied, reference papers and books I
have on hand. Every one of my surname binders includes these master lists so
that I (or anyone else) can immediately locate any record I am looking for.
My records are arranged similarly to Lee's, divided into surname and dated. I
do make photocopies of all significant papers, keeping the original in a safe
spot.
