Mary Alice,

I converted from PAF 3.0 last year with a database of 17,000. I did it by
GEDCOM. Everything came across, but the sources I had entered going back
over 10 years in the notes in PAF, came across as one Note tag in TMG. I am
cleaning them up a few at a time, breaking the notes apart and creating TMG
sources. You can keep track of this with a clean and unclean tag which Lee
or George can tell you how to set up ( I have forgotten how we did it).

If you had all your sources in the source section of PAF 3.0 that may work
differently, but by the time PAF came out with that I had thousands of
sources as free text in the notes section for each individual.
