Great Idea, Robin! I was trying to figure out how to word such a request
myself. Sure hope Bob implements your plan.

Subject: Avoid page breaks in VCF

Bob,

Looking at TMG-L recently and having my own experiences of problems at page
breaks in VCF, I make the suggestion of a new option.

PROPOSAL
In VCF, add a new function to the Tools -> Diagram -> Avoid Page Breaks
This would be either:
OFF - the default (and equivalent to the original VCF definition), or
ON - any person box to be positioned at least Z pixels in any direction
from a page break.

When the box is dragged over the page break, it is snapped to the minimum
position in that direction on the next page. The parameter Z is minimum
number of pixels between a box perimeter line and an adjacent page break.
This value could be set a default (say 10 pixels) to avoid boxes being
coincident with the margin of printing.

On the popup where Z can be set, there could be a button "APPLY NOW" which
starts at the top-left of the current diagram and moves boxes to the right
and down as required and extending the relationship lines to maintain the
sense of the diagram. If the user changed the page setup then they would
need to return to this button to get the appropriately adjusted diagram.

This would allow diagrams to be printed easily on sheets and mean that
these sheets can be easily pasted together without the loss of text.
