Lee is exactly right, provided you are looking at carefully done work. As a
cautionary example, I'll mention that I previously used another very well known
genealogical program, and obtained some very helpful information from cousins
using the same program.
Trouble is, that program automatically assigned double dates to all Jan 1 - Mar
25 entries in the appropriate years, assuming that the year entered was the NS
year. Unless the user was informed and careful, this could result in creating
dates one year off if the date read and entered was actually OS. And there is no
way to know what was actually entered. So now I have a bunch of dates were I
don't now know what the original source actually said. I'm now sadder but wiser.
Thanks to Bob V. that TMG reports exactly what you enter. Unfortunately, that
omniscient feature to properly clean up ambiguous imported data doesn't seem to
have been perfected <g>.
