Without going back to the meesage and seeing the exact wording I can't say,
but I don't recall referring to the use of angles around a "memo field to
bring the pics into a word processor". If I did, I shouldn't have as that
could give unexpected results. Keep in mind that angles and brackets have
special meanings in Tag/Witness Sentence Structures. However, if they are
used within the Memo field, then they _may_ work as you intend.
The whole idea is that in earlier versions of TMG, when I wanted a certain
image file to print in a report, I would include the path and file name of
that image in a Memo field. I always enclosed or preceded the path/file
name with a specific pattern of characters to allow me to quickly find the
location in the report using my word processor. I think what I used was:
"&%FN: " (something not likely to be found otherwise) which was then
followed by the path/filename. Then using my word processor's
search/replace feature, I would look for that combination. This would show
me the path/filename of the image which could then be imported into the
report and placed where I wanted it. I would then delete the code and
reference data information leaving the picture in place, and search for the
next instance.
Hope this helps -
