Fran,
I use endnotes for my sources and that let's me use footnotes for other
things. Whenever I have something in a memo I wish to footnote I enclose it
in < >. When I'm editing the genealogy report in my word processor I do a
search and move items within the < > into a footnote. This could be done with
images. You would search for the < and then import the picture as needed.
Using your method for photos and linking the photo person with witnesses who
are in the photo and having the file location in < > would let you do this
search and import easily w/o having the file on the hard drive. My next
computer (this summer, hopefully) will have a CD RW drive and I hope to start
scanning photos, etc then.
Thanks again for you idea.
