I, too, am not clear on the method outlined.
I have photos for PhotoDisk & scans. I store them externally
on ZipDisks. The ZIPDisks are color coded for the family
whose photos it holds. I want to link/connect the external
source with TMG, not so much for reference in TMG, but
in reports and books.
Is < > put in the memo field with the path to the photo?
How are footnotes used in this scheme? Can you have
footnotes and endnotes in the same document?
Thanks for help. This sounds like a solution.

I don't believe exhibits show up on the person view. I don't yet have a

Fran,
I use endnotes for my sources and that let's me use footnotes for other
things. Whenever I have something in a memo I wish to footnote I enclose
it
in < >. When I'm editing the genealogy report in my word processor I do a
search and move items within the < > into a footnote. This could be done
with
images. You would search for the < and then import the picture as needed.
Using your method for photos and linking the photo person with witnesses
who
are in the photo and having the file location in < > would let you do
this
search and import easily w/o having the file on the hard drive. My next
computer (this summer, hopefully) will have a CD RW drive and I hope to
start
scanning photos, etc then.
Thanks again for you idea.
